What is a Chromebook?

When I first heard about the Chromebook last December, it seemed like Google was talking about a beta laptop. But now the company has launched its service and no its not just a laptop it’s the Chrome OS.

According to Google’s website: “Chromebooks are built and optimized for the web, where you already spend most of your computing time. So you get a faster, simpler and more secure experience without all the headaches of ordinary computers.”

It’s amazing how technologies advance. I was in high school when I first encountered web. At that time I didn’t realize that I would be making a career out of it, with it just budding up from non-existence. It only seems like yesterday when I was amazed by the sight of Dark Camelot on the PC, struggling to play it with an IBM machine connected to a 56K modem.
It’s been a few years from then and the differences are really mind boggling. But I have also realized that internet and web as it is today is only in its teenage version with a lot of maturity awaiting its veins of growth. Which also makes me wonder what websites will look like in another 7 or 10 years time.

Social media networks are fields of dreams for branding and marketing. A recent study, “The State of Small Business Report,” sponsored by Network Solutions, LLC and the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, points to economic struggles as the catalyst for social media’s rapid popularity.

The study results show that social media usage by small business owners increased from 12% to 24% in just the last year, and almost 1 out of 5 actively uses social media as part of his or her strategy.

As the name suggests, this site gives details on wine and teach people how to buy and deal with it. This domain was sold to Virtual Vineyard for $2.9 million in 1999.

In this background they approached Weblook with the hope of designing and developing a brand new website that would work as a marketing tool that would gear up sales.

Although the situation seemed challenging it was not an impossible one. All that was required was a powerful design, exclusive appearance, a good SEO strategy and offline marketing activities to complement it.

A powerful theme for the design - we wanted the web users to feel the power of the A powerful theme for the design Glory Treadmill in every click in the website. To aid this, Weblook’s designers’ created a website with a vibrant appearance, using strong colours. Flash was used for the main banner to animate high quality images while the text navigation was given to all important areas.

Product portfolio – A product area was incorporated to the website that displayed Product portfolio Glory treadmill’s wide range of treadmills (commercial treadmills, high-end treadmills, middle -range domestic treadmills and low range domestic treadmills). The easy navigations placed on the home page and on the main menu gave users quick access to the type of treadmills they were looking for. Since the target market included bother B2B and B2C segments it was important to give them access points to their area of interest at once, if not neither would stay in the website for more than 10 seconds.

this year so far has been going great! in all sence, the team has got bigger, better operational office and design lab and most importantly awesome projects :)

the designers and developers have been busy working on some of the most interesting projects of late lets start with creative ones like Euro Asia

www.euroasiatea.com had a website anyway, that too was designed by the weblook designers, however taking to mind their dynamic market that consists of the European Tea lovers the need for new website was identified and probably because of the satisfactory service we provided them last time they selected us once again.

well, dont be too surpriced the website is done to the Tea theme, all green and tee-ish , that is what they wanted and we must give a thumbs up to our designers for having come up with a unique design to convey the ancient tea concept. such a beauty that website is – atleast most of us think so. it is been designed using Java Scripts

the new feature that was added to the website was the dynamic products panel. the designers did give the developers a little hard time trying to give a compatible CMS for their fancy design, but nevertheless Weblook developers took up the challenge and gave a good CMS (Content Management System) giving Euro Asia the ability to update their products by themselves at anytime from anywhere.
